The Course
Built on the southern banks of the Yarra River and with the tree-blanketed valley wall of Christmas Hills and the Dividing Range as dramatic backdrops to the north and north west, Eastern is simply a beautiful place to play golf. After the sale of original golf course, Greg Norman was commissioned to transform its stunning new tract of land into something infinitely more impressive than its previous home of 84 years. And he did not disappoint! The course is a second shot course with an emphasis on good iron play and course management to score well. The fairways are wide and generous although approaching the green from the right angle is important to maximise opportunities.
The Accommodation
Yering Gorge Cottages has eight free-standing, one bedroom cottages ideal for couples or families with younger children. Our one-bedroom cottages include an en-suite bathroom featuring a separate bath and walk in shower; floor to ceiling panoramic windows overlooking the Yarra Valley, Christmas Hills and The Eastern Golf Club. Each cottage features a large private deck with barbeque, kitchenette and wood fireplace. Car parking is located next to your cottage.
